For Christmas one of the books i really wanted was the hummingbird bakery cookbook, all the tempting treats looked so yummy i just needed to learn how to make them. So on Christmas when i received it from my sister i just couldn't wait to start baking i thought i would start and the beginning of the book and so it was vanilla cupcakes.
They came out to so yummy! The butter icing is the best i have ever made (i could have whisked it more and the icing would have been more fluffy but i couldn't wait that long!) i didn't do anything fancy to them like make the icing pink or blue etc. i thought that the icing without colour would do just fine, i just added a pinch of hundreds and thousands to the top and they where good to go!
In other hummingbird news i hear they have a new cookbook coming out on march 17th with a hundred new recipes! That's getting added to my amazon wishlist.
